Stay and Play @ Side by Side Children's Centre

A variety of play and learning activities for children.

A chance for parents to meet other parents and talk to staff about any concerns that are affecting their family.

Learn to swim at The Pods with Swimlincs

This is a week long activity (Monday to Friday) and you need to attend all days. 

The course is ideal for beginners aged four years and above. The intensive courses are 30 minute lessons for five consecutive days.

The course can accommodate up to eight children to one swimming teacher.

There are three courses available:

Monday 22 to Friday 26 July – 9.30am to 10am

Monday 5 to 9 August – 9.30am to 10am

Monday 19 to 23 August – 9.30am to 10am

 

Cost: £23.75 per course (lessons are held in the teaching pool).

Booking information

Activities must be booked at least 48 hours before the start of the session. Bookings can be made from Monday 1st July  2019 at The Pods, or by calling your local leisure centre.

All places and sessions must be paid for at the time of booking.

1 to 1 Swimming Lessons at The Pods

This is a week long activity (Monday to Friday) and you need to attend all days. 

The 1 to 1 courses are 30 minute lessons for 5 days, Monday to Friday. They are ideal for children aged three years and above and for all swimming abilities. Courses can accommodate up to two children.

Limited places are available.

There are nine course times available:

Monday 22 to Friday 26 July 2019  – 9am to 9.30am, 10am to 10.30am or 10.30am to 11am

Monday 5 to 9 August 2019 – 9am to 9.30am, 10am to 10.30am or 10.30am to 11am

Monday 19 to 23 July 2019 – 9am to 9.30am, 10am to 10.30am or 10.30am to 11am

Cost: £112.50 per course.

Booking information

Art Club for Home Educated Children (7 to 12 years) @ The Steel Rooms

During Art Club we explore a range of topics using different materials including guauche and acrylic paint, pencil, collage and crayons, along with using various methods, both 2D and 3D and working in different sizes. Children will explore art using observation, imagination as well as taught techniques. Art Club aims to enrich learning and development as well as offering a creative fun and relaxing experience.

Parents + carers can choose to stay during the session but we are more than happy for children to be left with us.

Cycle Skills for Kids age 10 and under @ Central Park

Apex Cycle Coaching are pleased to announce a series of kids cycle coaching sessions throughout July and August.

These are designed for kids age 10 years and under to improve their cycling skills and confidence.

Sessions are £3 per hour at either Jubilee Park, Lincoln Gardens or Co-Op sports ground in Central Park hosted by experienced, qualified British Cycling coaches with DBS checks and First Aid qualifications.

There will be a maximum of 10 places per session, please message us or email on apexcyclecoaching@yahoo.com to book a place.

Please ensure your child brings a cycle in good working order with effective front and back brakes, a helmet and a drink.

On booking we will send you a consent form if you could print and complete a copy and bring it along to your first session. Also an M-check document to work through prior to the session to ensure your child’s bike is safe to ride.

Apex are willing to put on extra sessions if we have enough demand and can provide sessions on general skills, mountain bike and cyclocross disciplines to both kids and adults – contact us if you are interested.
