Scunthorpe parkrun @ Scunthorpe Central Park

parkrun is a weekly 5K timed course for walking, jogging or running. It takes place in the heart of Scunthorpe at Central Park every Saturday morning, starting at 9am, meeting near The Pods.

The event is organised and managed entirely by volunteers.

It is free to take part in parkrun; you just need to make sure you register on the parkrun website, before you run, to record a time. When you have registered you will be able to print out a barcode which you will need to bring along to every run with you. A barcode timing system is used at the events to record your time. This software means that participants can have their results provided almost instantly, either on the parkrun website or by text message.

To find out more about parkrun and to register to take part in the local Scunthorpe parkrun then visit www.parkrun.org.uk/scunthorpe/.

Please note everyone is welcome at parkrun events but anyone under the age of 11 needs to accompanied by a responsible adult.
