Family Painting Workshop @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre
May 31 @ 10:30 – 12:00
Family Painting Workshop @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

Come and join us for this playful exploration of painting. We’ll be experimenting with watercolour paints and using fun, simple techniques that make for great cards or pictures. You’ll come away with lots of artwork and hopefully lots of ideas for what you’d like to paint next. Suitable for age 7+.

Note for parents/carers: This is a family workshop and we positively encourage parents/carers to participate. However, if you wish to make your own pieces alongside your child, you will need to book the appropriate number of places (one per participant), as this ensures that the artist brings enough supplies with them.

Butterfly Education and Awareness Day @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

Butterfly Education and Awareness Day @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

To celebrate Butterfly Education and Awareness Day on Saturday 1 June and as a part of our Kaleidoscope exhibition, we will be having a free talk from Dr Catherine Burton, invertebrate ecologist. She will be talking about the large heath butterfly, about conservation and wildlife gardening and what we can do to help insects in our gardens at home. There will also be the chance to make butterfly feeders using repurposed household materials that might otherwise be thrown away. This free drop-in event will take place in the café and is suitable for all ages.
