If you need support with using your smartphone, tablet or laptop, or would just like some tips about how to get the best out of your device, why not drop in to one of the IT support sessions taking place weekly in Scunthorpe Central, in the library meeting rooms on the first floor. No need to book; just drop in.

An opportunity for kids to try simple fun coding activities!

A hands on fun session that offers youngsters the opportunity to try simple fun block based coding  activities, suitable for children aged 7 years plus. There will be an opportunity to drive our Sphero  robotic balls, try the Harry Potter coding wands or create simple games and animations using Scratch.

All materials are provided with a £3 entry fee to cover materials.(Parents who wish to stay with children throughout the session do not require a ticket).

Drop in any time between 10 – 12pm on Wednesdays and show off your latest knitting projects. Our group will meet in our brand new activity room at Scunthorpe Central, so call in for a cuppa and a bit of a yarn!

The Pokemon & Saturday Gaming Club takes place at Scunthorpe Central in the first floor Activity room.

Bring your own Pokemon cards to trade, swap or battle other players.  There  will also be free to play games consoles featuring games like MarioKart and Super Smash Bros. Pokémon themed board games are available too.

Please note that the Club sessions are not directly supervised by Library staff. The sessions are facilitated by volunteers.

Children under the age of 8 years must not be left unattended at any time.
