June Session – Soap and Bubbles

Discover your inner chemist and make your own scented soap. Test the science behind making super giant bubbles.


July Session – Kinetic Art 

Using the galley as inspiration and looking at the work of famous kinetic sculptor Alexandre Calder you will make your own moving hypnotic sculpture design using wire.


September Session – Simple Robotics – Cost £9.00

Household items combined with electrical wiring and batteries to making moving robots

Stay and Play @ Barton Children's Centre

A lively stay and play session in the large community room at the Barton Children’s Centre.

A variety of play and learning activities for children.

A safe outside play area for children.

A chance for parents to meet other parents and talk to staff about any concerns that are affecting their family.

Suitable for 0 – 5 years in term time, older children welcome in holidays.

Farm Club @ Hall Farm

Hall Farm is the home of Farm Club- a place for free range kids!

Here we teach the kids how to take care of the animals, how to grow and prepare their own healthy food, and how a real farm works!

We use hands on experiences, and let the kids lead the way! They have a say in activities, the food we grow, and even the way we decorate the farm.

Our older Farm Club group get to learn more skills, and have more responsibilities than our younger group. All the experiences they get here will be great experience for anyone wanting to go in to jobs working in agriculture and/or with animals.

Suitable for children aged 5 – 11 years.

Runs term – time only.

Scunthorpe Centurions Boxing Club (5 – 10 years) @ Riddings Youth Centre

Scunthorpe Centurions Boxing Club – The Next Genreation offer sessions on a Monday from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

Suitable for children and young people aged 5 – 10 years.

Pay £2 per session and no joining fee.

All coaches are CRB checked.

ARTivities @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

Why not drop-in and make the most of our free activity table, where we have a range of “ARTivities” for youngsters to enjoy. Inspired by our exciting exhibition programme, our artivities change on a regular basis, so there is always something new for your kids to try their hand at!

Available on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am – 4pm.

All ages are welcome.

These activities are free but any donations towards the cost of materials are gratefully received.

Reading For Pleasure @ The Rabbit Hole Bookshop

Family Fun Hour @ The Viking Centre

Every Tuesday from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

Activities change every week but include crafts, games and much more! All children will get a snack and a drink.

For children under 8 but must be accompanied by an adult.

Riddings Brigade @ Riddings Youth Centre

A fun group for young people aged 6 – 11 years where you can meet and enjoy games, sport, craft and more with friends in a safe environment.

Takes place on a Tuesday from 5pm – 6.30pm at Riddings Youth Centre on Keelby Road, Scunthorpe.

Cost £1 per session this includes a drink and snack.

Children’s Bootcamp @ Windsor Park

FITT 4 offer a Children’s Bootcamp at Windsor Park on Godnow Road, Crowle.

Helps to build confidence, improve sleep patterns and increases concentration.

Do you want your child to be active, fit and have fun? then come along to our bootcamp.

These sessions are run by a qualified children’s fitness coach.

Suitable for children aged 6 – 13 years.
