Network Café – Barton @ Baysgarth Leisure Centre

The Network Cafés are a new community-based initiative delivered by staff from the Adult Mental Health Social Work Team. The vision is to offer practical advice and information to people that have experienced mental health problems with support, specific to their social need.

Drop-in session is on Wednesday from 9am – 12noon at Baysgarth Leisure Centre on Brigg Road.

We can offer support and signposting relating to:

  • Managing mental health
  • Access to adult education or training
  • Returning to work or managing mental health in the workplace.

The Network Café also be run educational sessions, which staff book people into via the drop-ins. The sessions running currently in all of the Network Cafes include:

  • Living Mindfully – How to introduce Mindfulness to our everyday lives
  • Managing Stress
  • Money Matters – Setting budgets and sticking to them, managing domestic finances and debts effectively
  • Motivate Me – A course about goal setting and maintaining motivation

Please note, we cannot help people complete benefits forms in their entirety, however if people are struggling due to literacy issues, or are in need of some “light touch” support or encouragement with this, we can offer some assistance. Between October and February, the time changes to 10am to 12pm.

Winterton Wellness Wednesdays @ Winterton Library, Local Link and Fitness Centre

Come and socialise, share hobbies, play games, get crafty or just have a cuppa, chat and make some friends at Winterton Local Link and Library, every Wednesday from 2pm – 4pm.

ST - ART Club @ Baysgarth School @ Baysgarth School & Sports Village

Baysgarth School on Barrow Road in Barton, offers ST- ART Club.

We will be using two purpose-built art rooms situated conveniently on the ground floor.

To access the school, use the main car park on the right. Go up the steps and through the metal gates. Go down the side of the building and enter the last doors on the left. The art rooms are the first rooms on your right.

Young people practise a range of arts and crafts, from wire sculptures to screen printed bags, tie-dye t-shirts to collages and paintings.

Sessions are led by professional artists and there are opportunities to achieve accredited learning through The Arts Award.

Term-Time only.

Suitable for ages 7 – 19 years.

Winterton Youth Centre on Chapel Lane offers a Youth Club and gives you the space to socialise with friends and have a go at activities on Games Night.
