Early Starters is a playgroup for children from birth to school age accompanied by their parent or carer. Parents and carers are encouraged to take part in lots of activities with their children to help them learn through play.
Each week is slightly different with a rotation of toys including: active toys, home corner, dressing up, book corner, music, train track, garage, puzzles and creative play. In addition we have a soft baby area with age suitable toys.
A healthy snack is provided and we include a sing along session. A warm welcome awaits Mums, Dads, grandparents, child minders and anyone else caring for a child under 5.
Parents and carers can enjoy a free cup of tea/coffee and toast.
We also organise trips and fund raising events throughout the year.

At 20-21 Visual Arts Centre our work is to present new and exciting art and artists to the local community, but many of our staff are artists in their own right who maybe rarely get the chance to shine. Dark Horses introduces the 20-21 team and explores the pool of creative talent and experience which has been drawn together into the various roles within the gallery. And there are more than a few ‘dark horses’ among us.
Dark Horses will be shown in the Link Gallery from 12 October – 7 December (closed Sunday, Monday).
For the final show in this year’s Introducing exhibitions, 20-21 has selected an artist from this years college end of year shows. Our choice this year is Lewis Robbins who has impressed us with his large scale paintings and ink drawings
Introducing: Lewis Robbins will be shown in the Linear Gallery from 19 November – 7 December (closed Sunday, Monday).
London based curator Ian Williamson curates this exhibition. He draws together the work of a range of artists who take inspiration from the aspirational ‘lifestyle’ films made to sell luxury high-end property.
Villa Rosa will be shown in the Showcase Gallery from 12 October – 7 December (closed Sunday, Monday).
Sessions held every Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 12 noon.
Sessions are £4 each.
