The Book Doctor: Archive and Book Conservation @ Scunthorpe Central

Book conservator and paper restoration specialist Susan Wood will soon be making a welcome return to North Lincolnshire.  Sue last visited Scunthorpe in 2009, when her services were so popular she had to come back for a further two sessions.

Sue is an independent conservator who is based near Matlock in Derbyshire.  On her last visit she saw many different, old and fascinating items, including family Bibles, a dictionary of Lincolnshire dialect words and a volume of the Visitation by the heralds to the houses of Lincolnshire. Sue will be able to give free advice and estimates for the conservation of individual items, so bring yours along for her to look at.

No need to book; just drop in between 10am and 2pm.
