If you love knitting, crafting and a bit of natter, why not come and join our free weekly Knit and Natter group? Our group will meet in our brand new activity room at Scunthorpe Central, so call in for a cuppa and a bit of a yarn!
If you thought drawing worms was easy, think again. Will Mabbitt (probably the worst illustrator of his generation) shows you how he created his latest picture book ‘I can only draw worms’ (published by Puffin). He’ll be guiding you through the seven rules of worm portraiture, making some balloon animals, and most importantly getting children drawing with his inspirational lack of talent. He’ll also be reading from a couple of his books and for a finale will attempt the impossible: drawing something that isn’t a worm.
This is a family friendly session, suitable for all ages. Children and must be accompanied by an adult, and all attendees must have their own ticket, including adults. This is a FREE event but you will need to book your place from Eventbrite.
There will be book sales and signings after the event at approximately 5pm, which are open to all.
Bring your own deck whether it’s Yugioh, Magic The Gathering, or Cardfight Vanguard and play or trade with other card gaming fans. Anyone under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult at any of the library clubs.
We also offer a not for profit card ordering service with big savings on the recommended retail price (RRP) to club members. We normally carry stocks of the current booster packs, sleeves and deck boxes, but structure decks, fat packs and collector tins can be supplied on an individual basis.
