Choirboy Graffiti Activity @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

As part of 20-21’s contribution to Heritage Open Days, we’ve been inspired by the unique building of the former St John’s Church, which now forms part of the Arts Centre. Take a look at our historical choirboy graffiti and see if there are any family names you recognise. Make your mark by adding your own name and designs to our special modern graffiti wall. Free drop in activity for all ages.

As part of 20-21’s contribution to Heritage Open Days, we’re giving you the opportunity to explore the unique building of the former St John’s Church, which now forms part of the Arts Centre. Learn about its history, its development from a church to an arts centre and how it has served and inspired the community past and present. Historian Hayley Robinson will be your tour guide.

Talks start at 11.30am and at 2.30pm and last around an hour. Book your place in person at 20-21, or on Eventbrite by following the link.

Angel Wings Activity @ 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

As part of 20-21’s contribution to Heritage Open Days, we’ve been inspired by the unique building of the former St John’s Church, which now forms part of the Arts Centre. Take a look at our 40 unique carved wooden angels in the roof. Most of them are carrying musical instruments, but some are carrying other items. What can you see? Then join us to make your own beautiful flapping wearable angel wings. Free drop in activity for all ages.
