Medieval Crafts Exhibition @ North Lincolnshire Museum
Aug 30 @ 13:00 – 16:00
Medieval Crafts Exhibition @ North Lincolnshire Museum

THIS EXHIBITION WILL BE A CELEBRATION OF THE RICH ARRAY OF SKILLS AND TRADES PRACTISED DURING THE MEDIEVAL PERIOD.

The work of Medieval craftsmen and women could be found throughout society, from spectacular high-status items to simple everyday objects such as pottery and clothing. Examples of much of this work still survive today, but the processes that created them are often overlooked.

In this exhibition we will be exploring the stories behind the finished products. ‘Medieval Crafts’ will look at the tools and techniques used to make these artefacts, at how they changed and developed through time and how they fitted into wider Medieval society.

Curly's Athletes Present: The Hedgehog Half Marathon @ Normanby Hall

For more information and to buy tickets for this event please visit the Curly’s Athletes website here

Wow! what an incredible first two years of the hedgehog half marathon-we have been overwhelmed by the feedback and it’s sold out each time, we have added a few more entries for 2020 but not many!

This all on road Half Marathon starts and finishes in the beautiful grounds of Normanby Hall Country Park. The route follows the picturesque Tour of Britain course from 2017.

With a very special finishing medal for all, chip timing and cake at the finish line oh and of course some hedgehogs will be paying a visit!

We’re very happy to be working with local charity Andrew’s Hedgehog Hospital once again to help raise awareness of these fabulous animals and support fundraising towards the amazing work this army of volunteers do.

If you’re really feeling the hedgehog theme then feel free to dress up as we will have a special trophy for “esprit de hérisson award” (spirit of hedgehog) on the day.
