Goxhill Bowls Club weekly bowls drive @ Goxhill Bowling Green
Aug 25 @ 14:00 – 16:00

Goxhill Memorial Hall Bowling Club is not just available to residents of Goxhill, but draws its membership from neighbouring towns and villages.

We have a fine green and good facilities available for our members and visitors, whether the bowling is primarily social or competitive (it is always for pleasure of course – even when it’s raining). For those wishing to test their bowling more competitively, we enter one team in each local league and their associated cup competitions: Barnetby League, Grimsby, Cleethorpes & District League & Humberside Open Triples League.

Our Club Competitions start at 1pm, usually on a weekday but occasionally at the weekend. We firmly believe that our Club offers some of the best value for bowlers – whether social or league – anywhere in the County, with the use of a great green at a reasonable cost.

Who can join? We are always keen to recruit new members, whether they are existing bowlers or entirely new to the sport. Membership is open to anyone interested in bowling, upon payment of the relevant subscription fee currently £40 for full membership (including league play) or £20 for club/social membership allowing use of all facilities but without playing in league competitions. We reserve the right to limit membership should demand exceed the available facilities for bowling, when a waiting list would be operated for new members on a ‘first come’ basis.

Every Tuesday during the summer season we run a Bowls Drive that is open to non-members as well as club members. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand and bring 3 bowls. Please provide your own flat-soled shoes. Anyone is welcome to attend and the cost is just £2 with a drink and a biscuit for refreshment mid-afternoon. The admission fee also funds a small cash prize to the bowler with the highest score for the afternoon.

How to find us: taking the main Thornton Road into Goxhill and following as it becomes Ferry Road, you need the first turning on the right after the humpback bridge over the railway. That is Manor Lane and the entrance to our bowling green is a few hundred yards up on the right.
