Why not drop-in and make the most of our free activity table, where we have a range of “ARTivities” for youngsters to enjoy. Inspired by our exciting exhibition programme, our artivities change on a regular basis, so there is always something new for your kids to try their hand at!

The Pokemon & Saturday Gaming Club takes place at Scunthorpe Central in the first floor Activity room.
Bring your own Pokemon cards to trade, swap or battle other players. There will also be free to play games consoles featuring games like MarioKart and Super Smash Bros. Pokémon themed board games are available too.
Please note that the Club sessions are not directly supervised by Library staff. The sessions are facilitated by volunteers.
Children under the age of 8 years must not be left unattended at any time.
The informal group provides a place where families with children that have Down’s Syndrome can meet up, share their experiences and their children can play.

Brumby Wood Rec Ground junior parkrun is a 2k timed event for juniors only (4-14 year olds).
If you are not a junior please try one of our weekly Saturday parkrun events instead.
Junior parkrun takes place every Sunday at 9am and is free to take part.
Before your first visit you do need to register but you only register once and then bring a printed copy of your parkrun barcode each time you run.
The aim is to have fun, so please come along and join in whatever your pace.
Every week we go for a post parkrun coffee in The Pods and you are welcome to join us.

We generally meet at the Joseph Wright Hall, Queen Street, Barton-upon-Humber every Sunday evening, from 6pm to 7.20pm.
We are a community group, we get together to provide entertainment for the local community and surrounding areas. Our mission is to host productions which provide enjoyment to our audiences, whilst having fun ourselves. Taking on challenges and developing confidence in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
New members are always welcome and there is always a role in our group for you.
Our joining requirements are simple. Pop along and chat with our members and if you like what you see then just complete a membership form and pay a £5 registration fee. (This is an annual payment due in April each year and means as a member of the group you are covered by our insurance and have the right to vote at meetings).
