If you need support with using your smartphone, tablet or laptop, or would just like some tips about how to get the best out of your device, why not drop in to one of the IT support sessions taking place weekly in Scunthorpe Central, in the library meeting rooms on the first floor. No need to book; just drop in.
Do you want to stitch for pleasure, learn new techniques or improve your existing skills? Or do you want to enjoy stitching and chatting with like-minded people? The Stitch Zone welcomes stitchers of all abilities. Learn a variety of embroidery stitches and techniques, working at your own pace, or take part in workshops, all with expert help and advice from textile artist and tutor Alex Hall.
Contact Adult Community Learning for more details and to book your place.
£5 per session, £35 for eight sessions.
If you love knitting, crafting and a bit of natter, why not come and join our free weekly Knit and Natter group? Drop in any time between 10 – 12pm on Wednesdays and show off your latest knitting projects. Our group will meet in our brand new activity room at Scunthorpe Central, so call in for a cuppa and a bit of a yarn!
Bring your own deck whether it’s Yugioh, Magic The Gathering, or Cardfight Vanguard and play or trade with other card gaming fans. Anyone under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult at any of the library clubs.
We also offer a not for profit card ordering service with big savings on the recommended retail price (RRP) to club members. We normally carry stocks of the current booster packs, sleeves and deck boxes, but structure decks, fat packs and collector tins can be supplied on an individual basis.
Come and join us at our Code Club and learn how to create fun Scratch animations and games, try BBC Micro:bits or use block based coding to program our Sphero robotic balls. The sessions are free and suitable for those aged 8 – 12 years old.
Places are limited. To book a session or enquire about availability, please email firstname.lastname@example.org detailing the name and age of your child, with a contact telephone number.
