For brothers and sisters (aged 8-15yrs) of a child with a disability or additional needs.
The Siblings Group aims to educate through fun, discussion and give knowledge about their siblings needs, how to cope and the support available to them .
We hope the group will provide a sense of “belonging” so the child/children realise there are others in the same boat.
We aim to provide them with coping strategies and understanding about the condition of their brother or sister, as well as providing something special just for them. We want to acknowledge their role within the family .
We want them to have fun but also to make friends and feel able to talk about their feelings and experiences .
Please call to talk further and to register and reserve a place.
The Group meets on Monday evenings (term time) 4.30pm to 6pm at :
The Carers’ Support Centre, 11 Redcombe Lane , Brigg , North Lincolnshire , DN20 8AU .
